Fraser Island is on the southeastern Queensland coast, 250 kilometres north of Brisbane, the state capital. It is around 110 kilometres from Noosa Heads on the Sunshine Coast. Nearby airports are at Hervey Bay and Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
