May 25, 2007, Newsletter Issue #205: Kangaroo

Tip of the Week

International tourists often expect to find kangaroos hopping down suburban streets. In reality, the only place to encounter an urban kangaroo is the zoo.
Further afield, however, kangaroos are a common sight, partly due to their unique reproductive system. Kangaroos simultaneously can have one joey (baby) suckling outside the pouch, one inside the pouch and another at the embryo stage.
